Tato práce popisuje přípravu studentů na profesi sociálního pedagoga, je zaměřena na kompetence, funkce, klientelu a profesy pedagogů v sociální sféře. Dále na možnosti uplatnění absolventů vysokých škol oboru sociální pedagogiky, jak z hlediska legislativního, tak i z hlediska cílových skupin. Blíže pak nahlíží na organizace, které poskytují pomoc potřebným osobám a to s organizací denního centra, K-centra, streetworku a nízkoprahového zařízení pro děti a mládež. Cílem této bakalářské práce je zjistit jaké je možné uplatnění sociálního pedagoga v nízkoprahovém zařízení pro děti a mládež, jaké by měl mít kompetence při této práci, jaké by zde mohl vykonávat pracovní činnosti a jaké cíle by měl mít sociální pedagog při práci s dětmi a mládeží v nízkoprahovém zařízení. Snahou je i zodpovězení otázek jaké jsou výhody, ale také i nevýhody, vytvoření pozice sociálního pedagoga v nízkoprahovém zařízení pro děti a mládež.

This thesis describes the preparation of students for the profession of a social educator, it focuses on competences, functions, clients and profession of teachers in the social sphere. It also describes the professional opportunities for graduates of the social pedagogy, both in terms of legislation and also in terms of target groups. It is taking a closer look on the organizations that provide assistance to needy persons by organizing the day centers, K-centers, street work and low-threshold facilities for children and youth. The aim of this thesis is to find out what is a possible use of the social educators in low-threshold facility for children and youth, what should be their competences in this position, what type of work activities they should carry out and what goals should the social educators have while working with children and youth in low-threshold facility. Another aim is also to answer the questions what are the advantages, but also disadvantages, of creating the position of social educators in low-threshold facility for children and youth
