Diplomová práce se zabývá vzděláváním seniorů na univerzitě třetího věku. Práce je rozdělena na dvě části, část teoretickou a část praktickou. V teoretické části diplomové práce jsou definovány pojmy, které se stářím a stárnutím souvisí. Vymezujeme pojmy z oblasti vzdělávání seniorů a jeho specifika. Dále je v teoretické části diplomové práce věnována pozornost univerzitám třetího věku.
V praktické části je popsán výzkum, který realizujeme s posluchači Univerzity Tomáše Bati ve Zlíně. Cílem bylo zjistit, jak posluchači hodnotí nabídku studia a jak hodnotí výuku. Dalším cílem zjistit návrhy posluchačů, které by vedly ke zlepšení výuky. Součástí praktické části je zpracování a vyhodnocení získaných dat včetně jejich shrnutí.

The thesis deals with the education of seniors at the University of the Third Age. The work is divided into two parts, the theoretical and the practical. The aim of the theoretical part was to define the terms associated with age and aging. We define concepts of senior education as well as its specifics. Furthermore, the theoretical part of the thesis focuses on the universities of the third age.
The practical part is based on the research which was realized by the students of the University of the Third Age at Tomas Bata University, in Zlin. The goal was to determine how students evaluate the range of fileds of studies and the tuition. Another objective of the work was to identify suggestions leading to the tuition improvement . The practical part of the thesis includes both interpretation of acquired data and their summaries.
