Diplomová práce s názvem ''Sociální situace romského etnika v České republice‘‘ analyzuje soužití romské národnostní menšiny s majoritní společností, které je po celou historii v naší společnosti provázeno vzájemným napětím. Je zde dán pohled na vývoj obyvatelstva v konkrétních časových fázích na území České republiky. Pohled je veden jak ze strany romského etnika, tak i ze strany prostých občanů, státních i nestátních institucí, které se neustále snaží o asimilaci romského etnika mezi majoritní společnost. Popisuje možné příčiny špatného vzájemného soužití, nerespektování různých kultur a odhaluje příčiny neshod v každodenní i v odborné komunikaci. Tato práce má i plnit význam určité prevence ve vzájemném uznávání různých etnik a předejití případného rizika k nerespektování a ke špatné komunikaci navzájem.
Diplomová práce je určena pro zajištění lepších vzájemných vztahů mezi obyvatelstvem, komunikaci pracovníkům státních i nestátním institucí pracující s romským etnikem. Dále studentům v oblasti škol s humanitním zaměření a studentům v oblasti sociální práce a sociální pedagogiky. Součástí diplomové práce jsou rovněž tabulky a grafy.

Name of the thesis is ''Social situation of the gipsy community in the Czech Republic‘‘, it is analysing coexistence of gipsy nation community with major
society, which is going along with mutual fiction. This is a view on the polulation evolution in the Czech Republic in particular time period. We are considering this dilemma from two sights, from the gipsy community position and then we consider the view of Czech Republic citizents, state and nonstate institutions, which are trying to assimilate gipsy community among the major society. It is describing possible reasons for the misunderstanding in everyday life so as in professional communication. This thesis should work as prevention from mutual acknowledgement of different communities and its risk prevention.
Thesis is meant to assure better mutual relations among people, communication of state and nonstate institutions dealing with gipsy community. Also for students of liberal education. This thesis also includes tables and graphs.
