Předložená disertační práce řeší problematiku metod plánování a řízení výroby a jejich praktického uplatnění ve výrobním procesu českých výrobních podniků. Důvodem výběru daného tématu je nedostatek kvalitních a ucelených informací z oblasti metod plánování a řízení výroby a jejich použití v informačních systémech, které jsou dostupné na českém ERP trhu. Cílem práce je analyzovat současnou situaci na českém trhu plánovacích a řídicích systémů a nabídnout komplexní pohled na danou problematiku, jak ze strany dodavatelů, tak ze strany uživatelů těchto systémů (výrobních podniků). Výstupem práce je navržení modelů a klasifikace jednotlivých tříd systémů pro pokročilé plánování a rozvrhování výroby, dále stanovení hlavních zásad řízení implementačního projektu pokročilých systémů plánování a rozvrhování výroby a přínosy této implementace. První část práce je věnovaná analýze současného stavu řešené problematiky, která je uzavřena zhodnocením dostupných literárních pramenů. V druhé části práce jsou definovány cíle a hypotézy disertační práce a časový harmonogram průběhu prací. Další část je věnována použitým metodám vědeckého poznání, pomocí kterých bude dosaženo stanovených cílů. Obsah dalších dvou kapitol tvoří výsledky kvantitativního a kvalitativního výzkumu. V závěru jsou vyhodnoceny hlavní výsledky disertační práce a definovány přínosy práce, a to jak v rovině teoretické, tak v rovině praktické.

The submitted dissertation resolves the problems and issues relating to the methodology for planning and managing production processes as well as their practical validation in working practice in the production processes of Czech manufacturing enterprises. The reason for the selection of this topic is the insufficiency of high-quality and unified information regarding the field of planning and managing production processes methods and their use in (business) information systems which are available on the Czech ERP market. The aim of the thesis is to analyse the contemporary situation on the Czech market of planning and managing systems as well as to suggest and provide a complex overview on the given problems and issues - both from the perspective of suppliers/providers, and that of the users of such systems (i.e. manufacturing companies). The outcome of this piece of work is the suggestion of a model and the classification of the individual classes of systems for the advanced planning and scheduling; further, the establishment of the main/core principles for the management of the implementation of advanced planning and scheduling systems projects; as well as the benefits arising from such implementation projects. The first part is devoted to the analysis of the current state-of-affairs regarding the problems and issues, which is concluded by an evaluation of the available literary resources. In the second part, the author goes on to define the aims and hypotheses of the dissertation thesis and the timetable for conducting the work. A further part is devoted to the methods, methodology and scientific observations and knowledge used in order to attain the set goals. The content of the following two chapters contain the results and outcomes of the quantitative and qualitative research. The Conclusion includes the summary of the evaluations of the main results and outcomes of the dissertation and the defined benefits accruing from the work - on both the theoretical and practical levels.
