Cílem diplomové práce je sledovat vývoj regionálních disparit v České republice.
V teoretické části jsou vymezeny cíle a metody práce. Dále je charakterizována problematika regionálních disparit, příčiny vzniku, dělení a typologie regionálních disparit.
Jsou uvedeny příklady legislativy vztahující se k problematice regionálních disparit.
V praktické části je provedena geografická analýza regionálních disparit ve vybraných regionech, srovnání statistických ukazatelů regionálních disparit. Následuje SWOT analýza odlišnosti regionálních disparit vybraných regionů. V závěru práce je navržena strategie pro snížení regionálních disparit.

The aim of my thesis is to observe the development of regional disparities in the Czech Republic.
There are targets and work methods defined in the theoretical part. There is also characteri-zed question of regional disparities, reasons of its inception, division and typology of regi-onal disparities.
There are examples relating to the regional disparities showed.
There is geographic analysis and comparison of statistic indexes of regional disparities in selected regions performed in the practical part; followed by SWOT analysis of differences between regional disparities of selected regions.
There is strategy for reduction of regional disparities suggested in the conclusion of this thesis.
