Cieľom tejto práce je priblížiť sa k spôsobu čistenia vôd na Čistiarni odpadových vôd v Považskej Bystrici a porovnať výsledky pred a po rekonštrukcii čistiarne. Teoretická časť práce vysvetľuje rôzne spôsoby spracovania a čistenia odpadových vôd. Praktická časť je zameraná na výskum, kde autor nás zoznamujeme s výsledkami výskumu a používanými normami ČOV v Považskej Bystrici. Ďalej autor tejto práce porovnáva výsledky výskumu z roku 1999 a 2007.

The aim of this dissertation deal with different ways of cleaning water in wastewater cleaner’s in Považská Bystrica and comparison between results before and after the recon-struction of the wastewater cleaner´ s. The theoretical part explains different way of proc-essing and cleaning wastewater. The practical part deals with research, where author intro-duces the results of the research and standards of ČOV used in Považská Bystrica. The au-thor of this work compare the research results from 1999 and 2007.
