Diplomová práce se zabývá problematikou rodiny a je složena ze dvou částí (teoretické a analytické).
V teoretické části zdůrazňuje význam rodiny, plnění základních funkcí a důležitost rodinného prostředí pro rozvoj jedince. Charakterizuje současnou rodinu, představuje její základní rysy, rodinu s jedním rodičem, partnerská soužití a zaměřuje se na úlohu muže a ženy v rodině. Věnuje se pohledu na manželství a rodičovství.
V analytické části vymezuje pohled středoškolské mládeže na otázky rodiny, manželství a rodičovství.

The thesis deals with family problems and is comprised of two parts (theoretical and analytical one).
In the theoretical part, it emphasizes the importance of family, the fulfillment of basic functions and the importance of family surroundings for the development of an individual. It characterizes today´s family, it introduces its basic features, families with one parent only, cohabitation and it focuses on the male and female roles in family. It deals with marriage and parenthood.
In the analytical part, it defines the points of view of secondary school students on the questions of family, marriage and parenthood.
