Bakalářská práce se zabývá problematikou eutanazie, a to jak v České republice, tak v ji-ných zemích světa. V teoretické části se zabývá definicí pojmu eutanazie, historií eutanazie, argumenty pro a proti eutanazii a problematikou eutanazie ve světě. Dále zde pojednává o smrti a umírání a ostatních pojmech s touto oblastí spojených a v neposlední řadě také o možnostech důstojného umírání. Poslední kapitola teoretické části je věnována definici slova adolescent a rozdělení období adolescence. V praktické části se na základě výzkumu, realizovaného pomocí dotazníkového šetření, věnuje informovanosti a názorům studentů středních škol na eutanazii.

Bachelor thesis' main objective is to describe the situacion regarding euthanasia in the Czech Republic as well as in other countries around the globe. In the first theoretical part can the reader learn about definiton of euthanasia, its history, arguments pro / contra its use and the current situation regarding euthanasia in the world. Furthermore, death, dy-ing and other such terms are presented in this part of the thesis. Last but not least, the posi-bilities of "dying with dignity" are described here. The last chapter of the theoretical part defines the word "adolescence" and "adolescent". The practical part of the thesis is based on a questionary, that aims to determine, how are high school students informed about euthanasia and what attitude do they take to it.
