K reparaci kožního povrchu mohou napomoci kosmetické prostředky obsahující účinné aktivní látky podporující hydrataci. Jedním z významných humektantů je právě močovina, jejíž účinky byly studovány při aplikaci komerčně dostup-ných kosmetických prostředků na ruce in vivo instrumentálními metodami.

Functional skin barrier represents an irreplaceable role in the ongoing maintenance of the water in the skin. Disorders hydration mechanisms create conditions for developing ad-verse pathological conditions of the skin. The repair of the skin surface can help cosmetic products containing effective active substances promoting hydration. One of the major humectants is just urea, whose effects were studied in the application of commercially avail-able cosmetic products on hand in vivo instrumental methods
