Dnešní doba - doba informatiky a využití informačních technologií umožňuje firmám ve své činnosti využívat nejnovější poznatky v oblasti tvorby informačních systémů, zejména v oblastech řízení podniků (informační systém jako celek), logistické informační systémy (pro podnikovou logistiku) nebo další systémy (personální, ekonomické apod.). Současně s rozvojem informačních systémů se firmy zapojují do celkové globalizace ekonomiky i logistiky.
Tato bakalářská práce pojednává o možnostech využití informačních systémů v oblasti řízení logistických činností firmy. Úvodní část je věnována pojmu informační systém, jeho vlastnosti, charakteristika a požadavky, dále se zabývá vysvětlením základních pojmů, které souvisí s možnostmi použití informačních a komunikačních technologií, popsáno uživatelské prostředí a možnosti systému. V praktické části je uvedena charakteristika společnosti Aroja, s.r.o. a popsán samotný informační systém společnosti, který je důležitým nástrojem při zpracování a třídění informací, řízení materiálového toku a podnikové logistiky. Celý informační systém je následně analyzován a jsou zpracovány návrhy a doporučení ke zlepšení vlastního využití tohoto informačního systému podniku.

Nowadays, the age of information science and the application of information technologies enables the companies to use the up-to-date findings in the field of creation of information systems, especially in the field of company management (the information system as the whole), logistic information systems (for company logistics) or other systems (personal, economical e.g.). At the same time, along with the information system development the companies become involved in the globalization of economy, as well as logistics.
This Bachelor´s Thesis deals with the facility of use of information systems in the area of logistic management of our company. The introduction is aimed to the information system, to his features, requirements and it also includes the basic terms, which are connected with possible use of information and communication technologies, description of user setting and the alternative of the system. In the practical part, the company Aroja and its features are presented and the information system of the company itself is described, which is an important tool for processing and classification of information and for the management of financial flow and the company´s logistics. Subsequently, the entire information system is analyzed and suggestions and recommendations for improvement of the use of this infor-mation system are elaborated.
