Základním tématem této práce jsou informace týkající se týraných, zneužívaných a zanedbávaných dětí, tedy dětí trpících syndromem CAN se zaměřením na problematiku odhalování a dokumentování trestné činnosti. Práce je rozdělena do čtyř částí, přičemž každá z nich má několik podkapitol. V první je rozebráno postavení dítěte z historického hlediska, druhá kapitola obsahuje vymezení samotného pojmu CAN. Třetí kapitola je zaměřena na osoby pachatelů trestných činů a osoby obětí trestných činů. Čtvrtá kapitola popisuje problematiku odhalování trestné činnosti a současnou situaci v naší společnosti z hlediska týraných, zneužívaných a zanedbávaných dětí. Vzhledem k tomu, že v naší společnosti je poměrně malá informovanost veřejnosti o problematice týraných, zneužívaných a zanedbávaných dětí, je cílem práce popsat předmět této problematiky, rizikové situace vedoucí k tomuto nežádoucímu jevu a postupy a metody, které odhalují a dokumentují trestnou činnost spojenou s danou problematikou.
Práce je určena pracovníkům všech oborů, kteří přicházejí do styku s dětmi a mládeží postižených nebo ohrožených syndromem CAN, zejména pak pracovníkům Policie ČR a pracovníkům, kteří pracují s dětmi a mládeží obecně, zejména ve vztahu k preventivní činnosti v dané problematice.

Thematically, the paper focuses on information concerning cruelly-treated, abused, and neglected children, i.e., children suffering from CAN syndrome, concentrating on detection and documentation of criminal conduct. The paper is divided into four chapters that have several subchapters each. The first chapter elaborates on the position of the child from historical perspective; the second chapter delimitates the concept of CAN proper; the third chapter focuses on perpetrators and their victims; and the fourth chapter describes the issues related to detection of criminal conduct and the status quo thereof in contemporary society from the perspective of cruelly-treated, abused, or neglected children. Since awareness of the public of the problems concerning cruelly-treated, abused, or neglected children is relatively low in our society, the objective of this paper is to describe the subject matter as such, define the risk situations leading to such undesirable occurrences, and explain the measures and methods of detecting and documenting criminal activities related to these problems.
The paper is designated for workers of all the field of specialty that involve work with children and young people, either suffering from or endangered by CAN syndrome, especially members of the Czech Police and persons working with children and young people in general, with particular emphasis on prevention.

Základním tématem této práce jsou informace týkající se týraných, zneužívaných a zanedbávaných dětí, tedy dětí trpících syndromem CAN se zaměřením na problematiku odhalování a dokumentování trestné činnosti.
