Ochrana přírody a biodiverzity je v současné době velmi často diskutovaný a řešený problém.
V práci je zdůrazněno, že do této oblasti nepatří jen ochrana ohrožených druhů rostlin a živoči-chů, ale patří jsem i ochrana celých ekosystémů. Je vypracováno několik významných celosvěto-vých projektů, v nichž jsou upřesněny nástroje k zabránění devastace přírody a snižování biodi-verzity. Dále je v práci věnována pozornost situaci v ČR - jednak z pohledu jejího zapojení do celosvětových projektů ochrany biodiverzity, jednak z pohledu vymezení určitých chráněných území, kde jsou tyto nástroje přímo aplikovány.

Nowadays, the protection of nature and biodiversity is a highly discussed problem.
In this work it is emphasised that not only protection of endangered plants and species belongs to this area but also protection of all ecosystems. Several significant world projects where the means of prevention of the nature devastation and reducing biodiversity are specified have been worked out. Then, the work focuses on the situation in the Czech Republic - on one hand from the point of view of joining the worldwide projects of biodiversity protection, on the other hand specificati-on of certain protected areas, where these means are directly aplicated.
