Annotation Tématem této bakalářské práce je historie a vývoj unixových operačních systémů. První kapitola se zabývá vývojem a popisem operačního systému Multics, na který navazuje vývoj operačního systému Unix. V dalších kapitolách jsou popsány na tento operační systém navazující verze unixových operačních systémů, včetně open source filozofie a vývoje operačního systému Linux. V následující kapitole bakalářská práce popisuje společné znaky operačních systémů a jejich hlavní části, kde se zaměřuje na vývoj grafického rozhraní. Poslední kapitola se zabývá popisem moderních trendů a novinek z oblasti vývoje moderních operačních systémů.
Annotation in English Subject of this bachelor thesis is history and development of Unix operating systems. First chapter contains development and description of operating system Multics, on which it continues to the development of the Unix system. Next chapters describe later versions of Unix operating systems, including open source philosphy and development of Linux operating system. Following chapters describe common characteristics of operating systems and their main components, at which it focuses on development of graphic interfaces. Last chapter contains descriptions of modern trends and news from area of modern operating system development.

Tématem této bakalářské práce je historie a vývoj unixových operačních systémů. První kapitola se zabývá vývojem a popisem operačního systému Multics, na který navazuje vývoj operačního systému Unix. V dalších kapitolách jsou popsány na tento operační systém navazující verze unixových operačních systémů, včetně open source filozofie a vývoje operačního systému Linux.
