Vysoká stereoreglarita dovoluje získat vysokou krystalinitu jež rozhoduje o vysokém bodu tání, nízké hustotě, vynikajících elektrických vlastnostech, nasákavosti a vysoké odolnosti vůči rozpouštědlům.
Annotation in English Polystyrene is usually commercially used in the atactic form. However, there is an increasing interest in the syndiotactic form. The high stereoregularity allows sPS to obtain a high level crystallinity, resulting in a high melting temperature, a low specific gravity, excellent electrical properties, hydrolytic resistance and high solvent resistance. The diploma thesis deals with the research of syndiotactic polystyrene (sPS) morphology. The polystyrene sample, which was under research, was made by the Dow Chemical Company. The measuring of the isothermal crystallization kinetics was accomplished by DSC PerkinElmer Pyris 1 device. The evaluation was accomplished by the FTIR Avatar System 320 spectrometer with ATR and with Omnic 5.1 software. The crystallization kinetics has been researched with the help of Avrami kinetics theory. The thesis is focused on the influence of maximal temperature of temperation on the material composition (polymorphism of sPS), and further on the structure during heating of amorphous samples.
