Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá historií intenzivní péče v interním ošetřovatelství. Teoretická část se věnuje samotné historii intenzivní péče ve světě, v České republice a v Uherskohradišťské nemocnici a.s. Dále je věnována charakteristice oddělení intenzivní péče a její technické a personální vybavení, obecnými specifikacemi na oddělení intenzivní péče a také je zde zmínka o etických aspektech v intenzivní péči. V praktické části jsou zpracovány rozhovory se staničními a vrchními sestrami, které pracují nebo pracovaly na oddělení intenzivní péče v Uherskohradišťské nemocnici a.s. Rozhovory jsou také jisté porovnání, jak fungovala intenzivní péče v minulosti a jak funguje nyní.

The main content of this bachelor thesis deals with the history of intensive care in internal nursing. The theoretical part is focuse on the history of intensive care in the world, in the Czech Republic and in Uherskohradišťská hospital a.s. The second part is dedicated on the characteristics of the intensive care department and also technical equipment and workers, the general specifications on the intensive care unit, and also the ethical aspects of intensive care are mentioned here. In the practical part are interviews with ward nurses and nurses who work or worked in the intensive care unit in Uherskohradišťská hospital a.s. It is also a comparison of how intensive care has worked and how it works now.
