Diplomová práce poukazuje na problematiku sociální opory ovdovělých truchlících seniorek žijících v obci Domanín. V teoretické části je přiblížena problematika stárnutí a stáří, a to na úrovni společnosti i jedince. Dále pojednává o procesu truchlení a sociální opoře. Zabývá se reakcemi vdov v době smutku i faktory, které proces truchlení determinují. Poukazuje na možné zdroje a formy sociální opory truchlících vdov i na význam sociální opory v době smutku. Cílem výzkumu bylo zjistit, jakým způsobem se vdovy starší 60 let v Domaníně vyrovnávaly s úmrtím manžela a jakou roli sehrála v době jejich truchlení jejich sociální opora. Praktická část proto zachycuje různé způsoby, jakými se tyto ovdovělé seniorky vyrovnávaly s úmrtím manžela v prvním roce svého vdovství i jakou roli v tomto období hrála jejich sociální opora. Na šesti případových studiích popisuje, jak se tyto ženy vyrovnávaly se smrtí svého manžela, a poukazuje na skutečnosti, které jim proces truchlení nejen usnadňovaly, ale i komplikovaly. Předkládané studie jsou ucelenými obrazy života ovdovělých seniorek a kromě základních údajů o jejich osobě, jejich manželství a manželovi, prezentují to, jak se truchlení odrazilo v jejich osobnosti na rovině emocionální, kognitivní, tělesné i v chování. Studie dále zachycují kvalitativní i kvantitativní změny v sociálních sítích těchto seniorek vyvolané jejich novou sociální rolí, rolí vdovy. Prezentovány jsou zdroje a formy jejich sociální opory a zároveň je poukázáno na to, jakou roli a význam měla jejich sociální opora v době truchlení pro ně samotné. Výzkum v neposlední řadě poukazuje na silné a slabé stránky sociální opory těchto žen v době jejich truchlení.

The thesis points out the problems of social support grieving widows seniors living in the village Domanín. In the first, theoretical part is an idea of aging and old age, at the level of society and individuals. Also deals with the grieving process and social support. It deals with the reactions of widows at the time of mourning and the factors that determine the process of mourning. It points to the possible sources and forms of social support grieving widows, and the importance of social support at the time of mourning. The research objec-tive was to determine how the widows over 60 years in Domanín to terms with the death of her husband and the role it played in their time of mourning their social support. Practi-cal thus captures various ways in which the widowed seniors to come to terms with the death of her husband in the first year of widowhood and the role played in this period of social support. The six case studies describing how these women coped with the death of her husband, and points to the fact that they not only facilitate the process of mourning, but also complicated. The present study is via comprehensive picture of life and widowed seniors addition to basic information about their person, their spouse and marriage, presenting it as the mourning of their personality reflected in the level of emotional, cognitive, physical and behavior. The study also capture qualitative and quantitative changes in these social networks seniors brought their new social roles, roles widows. Presented are the sources and forms of social support and is also pointed out the role and importance of social support they had at the time of mourning for them. Finally, research shows the strengths and weaknesses of social support these women in their time of mourning.
