Disertační práce se zabývá problematikou systémů řízení bezpečnosti potravin a jejich dopadem na konkurenceschopnost potravinářských podniků v České republice. V úvodu autorka zdůvodňuje volbu uvedeného tématu. V první kapitole jsou vysvětleny základní pojmy z oblasti řízení bezpečnosti potravin, standardů pro řízení bezpečnosti potravin, řízení rizik a pomocí základních makroekonomických ukazatelů vyhodnocena současná situace v potravinářském průmyslu. Ve druhé kapitole disertační práce autorka definuje cíle a hypotézy disertační práce. Následující kapitola pokračuje sestavením metodologického postupu, kterým bude tato práce řešena. Pro úspěšnou realizaci cílů disertační práce byly zvoleny vědecké metody, které budou použity během zpracovávání této práce a povedou k potvrzení či vyvrácení hypotéz. V závěru práce jsou výsledky šetření konfrontovány se stanovenými hypotézami, dále jsou popsány možné přínosy disertační práce pro teoretické a praktické poznání a souhrn informací pro budoucí pokračování práce.

The doctoral theses of this work deal with problems of the food safety control systems and their impact on competitiveness of food businesses in the Czech Republic. The introduction contains the author's reasons for choosing this theme. In the following chapter the basic concepts from the field of the food safety kontrol, food management safety standards, risk management are explained and the present situation in the food industry is evaluated by means of basic macroeconomic indicators. The third chapter focuses on author's definitions of the doctoral thesis aims and hypotheses. The next chapter deals with defining the methodological approaches for solving this work. For a successful aim realization of the doctoral thesis, scientific methods were chosen and these will be applied and will lead to either confirmation or disconfirmation of hypotheses. The summary of the thesis results describes possible contributions of this work to theory and practice. The final part of the doctoral thesis include the confrontation the survey findings and the defined hypothese, outlines possible continuation of the work as well as potential restrictions that may influence and complicate the achievement of work aims fulfillment.
