Cílem mé diplomové práce je navrhnout způsob financování vybrané investiční akce města Litovel. V teoretické části diplomové práce jsou uvedeny základní pojmy týkající se obce, jejího hospodaření a možnosti financování obcí pomocí dotací. Praktická část diplomové práce obsahuje socioekonomickou charakteristiku města Litovel a analýzu hospodaření města, včetně vybraných ukazatelů finanční analýzy. Poslední kapitola této části je zaměřena na vybraný projekt, pro který navrhnu vhodný zdroj financování. Na závěr jsou uvedena má doporučení.

The aim of this thesis is to propose the most applicable way of financing the investment action of the town of Litovel. In the theoretical part of this work basic terms concerning the issues of municipality, its financial management and its capability to finance investment activities by using funds and grants are outlined. The practical part of the thesis includes socioeconomic background characteristics of the town of Litovel and the analysis of its financial management with close attention paid to the particular economic indicators of financial analysis. The last chapter of this part is focused on the concrete project for which I suggest the most suitable way of financing. The thesis is concluded by presenting my recommendations and improvements that are based on my findings.
