Práce se zabývá kvalitou života osob s duševním onemocněním. Popisuje, jak nemoc ovlivnila život těchto osob v oblasti jejich profese, ekonomické úrovně, mezilidských vztahů a rodinného zázemí. Teoretická část se zabývá pojmy zdraví, nemoc, kvalita života, duševní poruchy, osobností zdravotně sociálního pracovníka. Praktická část se zaměřuje na vnímání kvality života osob s duševním onemocněním.
Cílem práce je pomocí kvalitativního výzkumu, technikou polo-strukturovaného rozhovoru porozumět vnímání kvality vlastního života osob s duševním onemocněním.

The thesis is dealing with the life quality of people with psychic diseases. It is describing the manner of how their disease influences their lives, occupation economic level, social relations, and family background. The theoretical part consists of themes such as wealth, disease, life quality, mental disorder, the personality of the social-medical worker. The practical parts focusing on the perception of life quality by people with a mental disorder. The main aim of this thesis is to understand the perception of life quality of people with mental disorders from their point of view. It shall be done through qualitative research and semi-structured interviews.
