Tato práce je seznámením s nástupem typografické avantgardy v Evropě a Spojených státech amerických na počátku 20. století. Věnuje se klíčovým uměleckým směrům a významným osobnostem, které ovlivnily podobu nové typografie. Analyzuje konkrétní písma a jejich roli v současné typografii.
Praktická část diplomové práce představuje vlastní návrh bezserifové abecedy, kterou je zároveň tento text vysázen.

The aim of this work is to introduce the foundation and onset of the typographic outpost in Europe and the United States of America in the early years of the 20th century. It follows the key artistic trends and notable personalities influencing the new typographical forms. At the same time the work analyses particular fonts and their effect on the nowadays typography.
The practical part of this diploma work presents an original sans-serif font design, also used for typing of thie resulting issue.

Rozsah teoretické práce 45 - 50 stran + přílohy, odevzdat v elektronické podobě
(dle předepsané univerzitní předlohy, viz Směrnice rektora UTB č. 12/2009) na
1 ks CD nosiči, dále odevzdat 2 kusy vytištěné elektronické podoby práce a
1 výtisk graficky zpracované práce, která má volnější autorskou podobu.
Praktická část práce bude odevzdána dle specifických požadavků vzahujících se
ke konkrétnímu zadání práce.
