Bakalářská práce definuje na základě aktuálních dokumentů katolické církve a tezí novotomismu - tak jak je vyjádřil J. Maritain - poslání a úkol křesťana a křesťanství v současném světě. Vychází z hypotézy, že integrální humanismus neboli nové křesťanství je specifickým a univerzálním přístupem k chápání a řešení ožehavých civilizačních problémů, jež ovlivňují sociální a sociálně pedagogickou praxi.

This bachelorś work defines the mission and the objective of the Christianity in the todays world pursuant to actual documents of the Catholic Church and the thesis of the Neotomism - as it was voiced by Jacques Maritain. The work deals with hypothesis that the integral humanism alias new Christianity is unique and universal approach to the solving and understanding delicate civilization problems that affect social and social pedagogical practise.
