Záznam průběhu obhajoby
Questions: Trušník: I am questioning your interpretation of data. Can you explain it? T: It is difficult to distinguish between very dark and dark. Bell: On page 17, you state that whiteness in the antebellum U.S. was associated with political identity. Explain this assertion. T: White men voted and women were showing support for men involved in politics. Bell: Is whitening more prevalent in the former English colonies, or does the colonizer not matter? T: I do not think it is more prevalent. Trušník: Mexicans seem to distance themselves from racist bias. Do they use skin whiteners? T: Mexico is a big producer of skin whitening products so I assume they are also users.
