Tato diplomová práce je zaměřena na kvalitu života seniorů v domovech pro seniory. Cílem diplomové práce je zhodnotit úroveň kvality poskytovaných služeb v domovech pro seniory a kvalitu života seniorů z hlediska spokojenosti žen a mužů žijících v těchto domovech.
Kvalita života je jev multidimenzionální a z hlediska jednotlivých seniorů velmi subjektivní a individuální pojem. Ovlivňuje ji řada faktorů mezi něž patří zdraví, životní styl, sociální prostředí, zdravotní péče, sociální služby, hmotné zabezpečení, bydlení či etické principy uplatňované ve společnosti atp. Je třeba ji udržovat na požadované úrovni, přizpůsobovat změnám ve společnosti, poznatkům vědy a neustále ji zlepšovat. Problematika kvality života seniorů je předmětem zájmu mnoha vědních oborů, rovněž i sociální pedagogiky.

This Graduation theses is focused on the life quality of seniors in the Retirements Homes. The goal is to valorize quality level of rendition of services in the Retirements Homes and the life quality of seniors in term of women‘s and men’s satisfaction residing in these Homes.
The life quality is multidimensional phenomenon and in term of individual senior it is very subjective and individual conception. It´s influenced by a range of factors as: the health, lifestyle, social environment, health care, the Social Services, financial security, living or Ethic principles alleged in society etc. The life quality should be provided on a required level, keep it adoptable to changes in society and science and improve it all the time. The problems of the life quality of seniors is the subject of concern of many science fields as well as the social pedagogy.
