Tato diplomová práce se zabývá tématem duševního onemocnění a postavením duševně nemocných ve společnosti. Pozornost je soustředěna na schizofrenii a sociální stigma, které toto onemocnění provází a svými důsledky vážně ovlivňuje léčbu i následnou rehabilitaci. Stigmatizace duševního onemocnění je ve společnosti pevně zakořeněna a její rozsah se neomezuje pouze na laickou veřejnost. Jedním ze způsobů ?boje? proti stigmatizaci je edukace, jejíž účinnost je prověřována v praktické části této práce. Cílem výzkumné části je zmapovat postoje studentů sociální pedagogiky na Univerzitě Tomáše Bati ve Zlíně k osobám trpícím schizofrenií a zjistit determinanty, které tyto postoje ovlivňují. Sledována je především dynamika postojů ve vztahu k vědomostem studentů o problematice duševní-ho onemocnění a délce studia. Bádání je podloženo teoretickými východisky seznamující čtenáře nejen s ústředním tématem schizofrenie a stigmatizace duševního onemocnění, ale celek dotváří také poznatky ze sociální psychologie, konkrétně teorie postojů, a profil stu-denta sociální pedagogiky jakožto objekt výzkumného šetření.
Annotation in English
This theses deals with the issues of mental illness in general and mentally ill people in so-ciety. The attention is focused on schizophrenia and social stigma which correlates to it and seriously affects therapy as well as the rehabilitation. Stigmatization of the mental illness is strongly rooted in today´s society and it´s range can not be limited only for the general pu-blic. One of the ways of overcoming this stigma is an education, whose effectiveness is being tested in the practical part of this thesis. The main goal is to get an idea of how the attitudes of students of Social Pedagogy at the University of Tomas Bata are towards peo-ple with schizophrenia and to identify determinants affecting their attitudes. Emphasis is put mainly on the dynamics of attitudes in relation to student´s knowledge of the issues of mental illness and a lenght of a study. Research is underlayed by theoretical ground/foundation introducing reader not only with the main theme of schizophrenia and stigmatization of mental illnesses but also adds some insights from Social pedagogy as a object of the research.
