Annotation in English This work deal with inteins. They are short proteins (polypeptides) which were found in some microbes in all life domains. These microbes use in many food processing technolo-gies. Inteins work as enzymes. They are able to cut themselves out from a developing pro-tein structure immediately after translation. The ATP energy doesn´t use during this pro-cess. This work pass the main overview about their occurence in microbes. Their cutting out mechanism is described in consequential chapters. Their presumptive utilization is mentioned in the closing part.
Keywords Inteiny a exteiny, mechanismus svázání bílkoviny a vystřižení inteinu.
