Diplomová práce je zaměřena na popis fyzického a psychického nebezpečí, které nastávají při výkonu služby profesionálního hasiče. V práci se zabývám integrovaným záchranným systémem v ČR a postavením hasičského záchranného sboru v rámci IZS, funkcemi hasičů, komunikací v krizových situacích, podmínkami výkonu služby profesionálních hasičů- záchranářů.
Za významné považuji i faktory snižující výkonnost hasiče, jejich postoje a chování
a prezentaci vůči občanům i státním orgánům.
Praktická část je zaměřena na analýzu faktorů, které mohou snižovat pracovní a odborný potenciál hasiče.
Z rozhovorů s hasiči vyplynulo, že náročné situace při výjezdu vnímají mnohem citlivěji ty, ke kterým mají osobní vztah. Jsou to zásahy v místě bydliště, zásahy u příbuzných, kolegů, malých dětí, těhotných žen.

The aim of this thesis is describing the physical and psychological dangers that are connected with performing professional firefighters work. Next, the thesis deal with integrated rescue system (IRS) in the Czech Republic and the position of Fire and Rescue Service within the IRS, firefighters functions, communications in critical situations, conditions of professional firefighters ? rescuers service.
Other major aspects of this work are the factors impairing efficiency of firefighters, their attitude, behaviour and presentation to the citizens and public authorities.
The practical part of this work is focused on analysis of the factors that can reduce labour and professional potential of firefighters.
The interviews with firefighters showed that they consider much more different the situations and work which is connected with them personally. These are interventions nearby their home, interventions related to their relatives, colleagues, young children, pregnant women.
