Bakalářská práce je věnována péči o pacienty podstupující zavedení PICC katétru. Teoretická část popisuje centrální žilní vstupy, ošetřovatelskou péči o pacienta podstupujícího zavedení PICC katétru a charakterizuje úlohu všeobecné sestry v PICC týmu.
Praktická část s použitím kvalitativního výzkumu analyzuje informace získané pomocí techniky rozhovoru s pacienty se zavedeným intravenózním katétrem a zabývá se péčí poskytnutou těmto nemocným při jeho implantaci. Součástí praktické části bakalářské práce je vytvoření edukačního materiálu, který obsahuje informace pro pacienty, kterým bude zaveden PICC katétr.

The bachelor thesis deals with the topic about the patient's care going through the PICC catheter loading. The theoretical part describes the central venous access, nursing patient's care going through the PICC catheter loading and characterizes the role of the general nurse in the PICC team. The practical part, using qualitative research, analyzes the information obtained using the technique of interviewing patients with an established intravenous catheter and deals with the care provided to these patients during its implantation.
