Bakalářská práce ''Zaměstnávání odsouzených - problém současného vězeňství‘‘ se zabývá problematikou zaměstnávání odsouzených osob, uvádí nás do historie výkonu trestu, seznamuje s legislativním zakotvením výkonu trestu odnětí svobody v právním systému České republiky, s činností a úkoly Vězeňské služby ČR. Zabývá se vlivem pracovního zařazení na chování a jednání vězňů z hlediska pedagogického a psychologického.
Detailně se zabývá problematikou zaměstnávání odsouzených osob na základě poznatků, získaných studiem uvedené literatury, s využitím analýzy dostupných podkladových materiálů a vlastních zkušeností autora (praxe zaměstnance Vězeňské služby ČR, který měl zaměstnávání odsouzených v popisu funkce) se snaží popsat a zhodnotit současný stav na úseku zaměstnávání odsouzených osob a zjistit příčiny jeho současných limitů. Zabývá se reálnými možnostmi Vězeňské služby ČR, resp. dalších spolupracujících subjektů při naplňování vládního úkolu (zvýšit zaměstnanost odsouzených osob), a poukazuje na konkrétní problémy, neumožňující v současné době tento úkol zcela plnit. V závěru práce autor nastiňuje možná řešení popsané situace.

The bachelor’s The Employment of Convicted Individuals - Problems of the Present Prison Service thesis is dealt with problems of convicted individuals, there is introduced the history of execution of a punishment as well the legislative entrench of execution of a punishment confinement in the Legal System of the Czech Republic and activities and duties of the Prison Service of the Czech Republic. It is engaged in pedagogical and psychological effects on prisoners’s behaviour and manners under the emploee rating.
In detail it is busied with the employment of convicted individuals on the base of gained information from the listed literature with utilization of analysis of the available material and on the base of own author’s experience (who is employed by the Prison Service of the Czech Republic and the employment of convicted individuals was under his duty) it is trying to describe and appraise a current situation in the division of convicted individuals and found a causation of its present limitation.
It is engaged with real possibilities of the Prison Service of the Czech Republic like other co-operating subjects filling the government target (to incerease the number of employed convicted individuals) and it points at factual problems, making this target impossible to fulfill. In conclusion the author foreshows a possible problem solving.
