Námětem mé diplomové práce je Statutární město Zlín a jeho přístup k hospodaření. Prostřednictvím analýzy stávající situace v obchodněprávních vztazích statutárního města Zlína a následného vyhodnocení nedostatků bylo vypracováno několik doporučení ke zlepšení situace, které reprezentují cíl mé diplomové práce. Teoretická část vymezuje legislativní rámec hospodaření obce jako subjektu obchodněprávních vztahů. Obsahem praktické části je rozbor následujících oblastí hospodaření statutárního města Zlína - hospodaření obchodních společností s účastí města, příspěvkových organizací zřízených městem, oblasti správy pohledávek a agendou veřejných zakázek. Na základě získaných poznatků byla sestavena SWOT analýza obchodněprávních vztahů města. V posledním oddíle mé diplomové práce jsou uvedeny jednotlivá doporučení na zlepšení současného stavu ve sledovaných oblastech obchodněprávních vztahů statutárního města Zlína.

The topic of this thesis is the business approach on the part of the corporate town of Zlín. The aim of the thesis was to analyse the present situation in the business and legal relations of the corporate town of Zlín, to evaluate possible shortcomings and, consequently, to present several recommendation to improve the situation. The theoretical part of the work defines the legal framework of the management of the municipality as the legal subject in business and legal relations. The practical part consists of the following areas of management on the part of the corporate town of Zlín ? management of business companies in which the town has a stake, contributory organisations estab-lished by the town, the field of claim management and the public tender agenda. Based on the findings, a SWOT analysis of the business and legal relations of the town was conducted. The last sec-tion of the thesis introduces specific recommendations for improvement of the current state of affairs in the examined areas of the business and legal relations on the part of the corporate town of Zlín.
