Annotation Tato práce seznamuje čtenáře s pojmem komiks. Teoretická část mapuje předchůdce komiksu, historické pozadí, vývoj u nás i ve světě, významné autory a způsoby zhotovení komiksu. Praktická část práce se věnuje vlastnímu zpracování komiksu na motivy povídky Arthura Conana Doyla Pruhovaná truhlice.

The theoretical part includes predecessors of comics, historical background, development of Czech and worldwide comics, major authors and making processes. The practical part of the thesis describes the author's comics inspired by Arthur Conan Doyle's The Striped Chest.
