Tato práce se zabývá mechanickými vlastnostmi lidských vlasů. Cílem práce bylo zjistit dostupné informace o vlasech, včetně jejich funkce a chování při mechanickém namáhání. Je zde popsáno složení, struktura, růst a typy vlasů, mechanické vlastnosti, fyzikální a chemické faktory, které na vlasy působí.

This thesis is focused on mechanical properties of human hair. The aim of this thesis is to collect accessible information about hair including its function and behavior under mecha-nical stress. There is described the composition, structure, growth and hair types, mechani-cal properties, physical and chemical effects which act on the hair.
