V této práci je popsána resuscitace a umělé dýchání, jako jedna z mnoha oblastí poskyto-vání první pomoci. Zaměřuje se především na samotný postup od zjištění selhání dechu a oběhu, přes techniku resuscitace, kontrolu stavu a jeho stabilizaci. Obsahuje také náhled do historie poskytování první pomoci, správný postup při přivolání odborné pomoci, právní odpovědnost při neposkytnutí první pomoci, základy resuscitace u dětí a v závěru sezná-mení se z organizací a strukturou zdravotnické záchranné služby ve Zlínském kraji.

In this work, there is described resuscitation and artificial respiration as one of many areas of providing of first aid. Above all it is focused on the actual process from finding of failu-re of breathing and circulation, through the technique of resuscitation, control of the state and the stabilization. It contains also an insight into the history of first aid, proper procedu-re for calling of expert assistance, legal liability in not providing of first aid, basics of re-suscitation of children and in the end also the introduction of the organization and the structure of the Emergency Medical Services in region of Zlin.
