Annotation První část bakalářské práce se zabývá objasněním pojmu biodegradace a s tím související likvidace polymerních odpadů. V dalších kapitolách jsou přiblíženy základní vlastnosti polystyrenu (PS) a dalších styrenových plastů, konkrétně houževnatého polystyrenu (HIPS) a zpěňovatelného polystyrenu (EPS). Ostatním modifikacím je věnována jen letmá pozornost, protože nejsou předmětem nejrozsáhlejší kapitoly této práce - biodegradabilní styrenové plasty. Zde jsou shrnuty metody úprav polystyrenu na biodegradabilní společně s průběhy a výsledky biodegradačních testů.
Annotation in English First part of the Bachelor thesis deals with the clarification of the concept of biodegradation and polymer waste disposal related with it. Basic properties of polystyrene (PS) and other styrene plastics, specifically high impact polystyrene (HIPS) and expanded polystyrene (EPS) are discussed in the following chapters. Only a fleeting attention is paid on the other forms, because they are not the main object of the largest chapter of this thesis - biodegradable styrene plastic materials. The methods of modification of polystyrene to biodegradable one are reviewed here together with course and results of biodegradation tests.
