Tato práce pojednává o nestátních neziskových organizacích obecně a o občanském sdru-žení konkrétně. V teoretické části rozebírá zákon č. 83/1990 sb. o občanském sdružení se zaměřením na jeho uplatnění v mateřském centru. Dále se zabývá vznikem a historií ma-teřských center, jejich postavením a cílem. Seznamuje s historií Sítě mateřských center v ČR, jejím posláním a jejím působením ve Zlínském kraji.
V praktické části se zabývá založením Mateřského centra ve Slavičíně. Uvádí jeho cíle a poslání v této oblasti. Popisuje cesty k jeho založení, provedení a vyhodnocení výzkumu. Uvádí hypotézy, na základě nichž bylo Mateřské centrum založeno a jeho porovnání s vý-sledkem výzkumu.
V době vypracování této práce, došlo ke slavnostnímu otevření Mateřského centra. Proto v této práce je uveden průběh příprav i vlastní slavnostní otevření a jeho zhodnocení.
Dále se práce zabývá počátkem činnosti, jejím rozvojem, koncepcí a strategií Mateřského centra Slavičín.
Závěrem se pak zabývá zákony a nařízeními, kterými se musí Mateřské centrum Slavičín řídit.

This work deals with the non-governmental organizations (NGO) in general and civic as-sociation specifically. The theoretical part analyses the Act No. 83/1990 Coll. of civic as-sociations, focusing on its application in mother centers. It also deals with the creation and history of mother centers, and their role in the society, and their targets. This work introdu-ces the history of the Network of the Mother Centers in the Czech Republic, its mission and its effect in the Zlín Region.
The practical part of this work deals with the start-up of the Mother center Slavičín. It states its objectives and tasks. It describes the way of its creation, implementation and eva-luation of research. It states hypotheses, under which the Mother’ s Center was flunder, and its comparison with the result of pro-research.
During the preparation of this work, a grand opening of the mother center had happened. Therefore, in this work the process of preparation and its own inauguration and its eva-luation are given.
Further, this work deals with the beginning of work, its development, concepts and strate-gies of the Mother’s center Slavičín.
Finally, it deals with laws and regulations, which must be followed by the Mothers' Center Slavičín.
