Disertační práce s názvem Hodnocení udržitelnosti v podnicích cestovního ruchu se věnuje aktuálnímu tématu udržitelnosti u podniků poskytujících služby na trhu cestovního ruchu. Cílem práce je navržení systému ukazatelů, který umožní implementaci zásad udržitelného cestovního ruchu do podmínek těchto firem a podpůrných organizací. Předpokladem pro navržení systému bylo provedení literární rešerše dostupných pramenů a analýza dosavadních přístupů k udržitelnému konceptu cestovního ruchu. Literární rešerše se věnuje také tématům přidruženým, jako je společenská zodpovědnost firem a možnosti benchmarkingu. Několik kapitol se zabývá certifikací služeb, normami a značkami nejen v Česku, ale také v Evropské unii. Na základě získaných teoretických poznatků byly v další části práce definovány subsystémy udržitelnosti, ze kterých vychází systém ukazatelů udržitelnosti pro samotné měření v podnicích cestovního ruchu. Součástí práce je několik případových studií, ve kterých jsou v daných ukazatelích porovnávány podniky.

Dissertation titled Measuring Sustainability in Tourism Enterprises is dedicated to the current issue of sustainability for businesses providing services in the tourism market. The goal is to design an system of indicators which will implement the principles of sustainable tourism in terms of these companies and support organizations. A prerequisite for designing a system of indicators was to perform a literature review and analysis of available sources of existing approaches to the concept of sustainable tourism. Literature review also focuses on topics such as the associated corporate social responsibility and the possibility of benchmarking. Several chapters deals with the certification services, standards and sustainability of business brands not only in the Czech Republic, but also in European Union. Based on the theoretical findings were in another part of the work defined subsystems of sustainability and underlying system of sustainability indicators for the actual measurement of tourism enterprises. The work contains several case studies where tourism companies are compared by these indicators.
