Annotation Táto bakalárska práca sa zaoberá chovaním biomateriálov v interakcii so živým organizmom. Prvá kapitola je zameraná na základné materiálové charakteristiky biomateriálov. V ďalších kapitolách sú popísané princípy a typy interakcií biomateriálov s tkanivami a koloidmi, tj. s krvou. Problematika hodnotenia bezpečnosti používaných biomateriálov v klinickej praxi zahŕňa predklinické a klinické skúšky so zameraním na testy biokompatibility a hodnotenie toxicity implantovaných biomateriálov. Na záver práce je uvedený prehľad historického vývoja v oblasti testovania biomateriálov s porovnaním so súčasnými trendmi.
Annotation in English This Bc. thesis is dealing with the behavior of biomaterials in interaction with living organism. First chapter is focused on basic material characteristics of biomaterials. In the consecutive chapters are described principles and types of interactions of biomaterials with tissues and colloids, i.e. with the blood. Problematic of evaluation of the security of the used biomaterials in the clinical praxis covers pre-clinical and clinical trials focused on biocompatibility tests and evaluation of toxicity of implanted biomaterials. At the end of this Bc. thesis is offered historical perspective view on the issues related to the testing of biomaterials in comparison to the up-today trends.
