Annotation in English There is a significant difference between foot length of adult diabetics and healthy population. This difference requires special adjustment of last shape for making shoes. This trend (of feet widening) is observed among adults but deviations that correlate with age are not so significant. With this association there has been a lot of discussion when this phenomenon begins and what causes it. Concretely, whether foot form changes also among first type diabetic children and at what age it is appropriate to make special shoe forms for them. For these reasons, 132 first type diabetic children were gauged with 3D scanner in the Czech Republic (also each child's age, weight, height, gender and length of diabetes were registered). Specially developed software made it possible to determine following data for each child: foot length and width, ball girth, heel-ball distance, toe length and arch angel. The results were match with data of children without diabetes of the same age, gender, body height, body and BMI. The results has a practical significance applying that it is not necessary to develop and use special shoe form for first type diabetic children. On the other hand, the finding does not imply that it is not necessary to pay heightened attention while choosing shoes for these children.
