Bakalářská práce se zabývá v širších souvislostech problematikou postavení, úkolů a činnosti mluvčích Policie ČR. Náročným cílem práce je přispět k optimalizaci zakotvení tohoto institutu v podmínkách Policie ČR.
První část práce (první až třetí kapitola) obsahuje teoretická a metodologická východiska k řešení analyzované problematiky. První kapitole se zabývá problematikou komunikace, druhá problematikou komunikace s veřejností, třetí pak širším vymezením pojmu public relations a pojmu média relations.
Druhá část bakalářské práce (v podstatě aplikační) je tvořena třemi kapitolami. Čtvrtá kapitola se zabývá vymezením pojmu, postavením, úkoly a činností mluvčích (obecně), pátá kapitola a šestá kapitola pak obsahují zpracování problematiky mluvčích v konkrétních podmínkách Policie ČR. V této části bakalářské práce jsou též uvedeny některé nedostatky v činnosti mluvčích Policie ČR.
V závěru bakalářské práce jsou zformulovány návrhy dílčích opatření, jejichž realizace by mohla přispět k upevnění jejich postavení, k optimálnímu vymezení jejich úkolů, jakož i ke zkvalitnění jejich činnosti.

This baccalaureate work deals with the problematic of standing, tasks and activities of spokespersons of Czech Police (Policie ČR) in a broader perspective.
The first part of the work (chapter 1-3) contains theoretical and methodological views to solve this problematic. The first chapter deals with communication; the second one especially with public communication and the third one with determination of the term ‘‘public relations‘‘ and ‘‘media relations‘‘.
The second (essentially application-directed) part of the baccalaureate work consists of three chapters. The fourth chapter handles the delimitation of the term, standing, task and activities of the spokespersons (in general), the fifth and sixth chapters contain the elaboration of spokespersons related problematic in concrete conditions of Czech police. In this part of the baccalaureate work, I mention some insufficiencies in the activity of the spokespersons of Czech Police as well. Consequently, there are formulated proposals of partial provisions, whose realization could contribute to consolidation of the position of these spokespersons, to optimal delimitation of their tasks and to improvement of their activities.
