Tato diplomová práce představuje integraci dvou odlišných přístupů ke zvyšování výkonnosti neziskové organizace poskytující sociální a zdravotní péči -- metodu tradičního benchmarkingu a koncepci štíhlé zdravotní péče. Praktická část práce je postavena na aplikaci uvedených přístupů formou případové studie. Benchmarking slouží k identifikaci potenciálních výkonnostních mezer mezi českou organizací Hvězda, o. s., a jejím rakouským partnerem NÖ Landes-pflegeheim St. Pölten Haus an der Traisen. Druhá část případové studie vychází z principů filozofie štíhlé zdravotní péče, uplatněné v rakouské organizaci, a je zaměřena na optimalizaci materiálového toku.

This master’s thesis presents an integration of two different approaches towards raising performance of non-profit organisation providing social and health care--the traditional benchmarking method and lean healthcare. Both of these approaches are demonstrated--as a case study--in a practical part of the thesis. Benchmarking helps identify potential performance gaps between the Czech organisation Hvězda, o. s., and its partner NÖ Landes-pflegeheim St. Pölten Haus an der Traisen. The second part of a case study is based on lean healthcare principles applied within the Austrian organisation. It focuses on a material flow optimization.
