Teoretická část popisuje původ velštiny, vývoj, příčiny a způsoby obrození jazyka a diferenciovaný přístup obyvatel k velštině.
Annotation in English The present bachelor thesis deals with the Welsh language, the most used Celtic language in Great Britain, which has been forbidden for centuries until the revival in 1920 when the language was given the same status as English and was allowed to be used in public. The theoretical part describes the origins of Welsh, the development, reasons and process of the revival and different attitudes of the inhabitants towards the language. In the practical part we can compare the support of the Welsh language in different parts of Wales both on the part of government and on the part of local inhabitants.
