Ve své diplomové práci se zabývám vztahy mezi současnými mladými rodiči malých dětí a jejich prarodiči. Práce je rozdělena na dvě základní části - část teoretickou a část praktic-kou. V teoretické části se zabývám pohledem do historie prarodičovství, kdy se mladé ma-minky téměř ve všem spoléhaly na své matky a nezřídka je žádaly o rady. Zajímalo mě, zda se během let, které od té doby uplynuly, něco změnilo a jak se dnes staví mladé matky k pomoci prarodičů. Dále se zaměřuji na konfliktní vztahy mezi rodiči a prarodiči a jejich pří-činy, jež právě často pramení z rozdílných názorů na výchovu dětí.
V praktické části zkoumám, zda existuje souvislost mezi radami babiček mladým matkám ohledně výchovy dětí a vznikem konfliktních situací v rodině. Zjišťuji, jak častý je kontakt prarodičů s vnuky a zda matky vychovávají své děti jiným způsobem, než jakým byly sami vychovávány

I am dealing with the relations between contemporary young parents of small children and their grandparents in my thesis seminary work. My work is divided into two basic parts - a theoretical one and a practical one. I am dealing with the history of being a grandparent, when young mothers velied on their own mothers in solving of nearly all the problems and asked them for advice. I was interested in the fact whether something has changed during the years which passed from those days and how yougs mothers today feel their grandpa-rents help. I am olso aiming at conflict relations between parents and grandparents and their causes, which often originate from different opinions on childs upbringing.
In practical part I am considering whether there is a link between a grandmother´s advice on child´s upbringing and the origination of conflict family situations. I am finding out how frequent the contact between grandparents and grandchildren is and whether mothers bring up their children in a different way than they themselves were brought up.
