Předkládaná bakalářská práce se věnuje problematice rituálů, a to zejména ve vztahu k jedné z jejich významných funkcí, kdy slouží jako zdroj psychické podpory jednotlivců i lidských společenství. Ukazuje se, že pojem rituálu je velmi obecný a významově podstatně přesahuje jeho nejobvyklejší a starší chápání, které vyplývá z jejich role v oblasti náboženské. Pro rituály je charakteristická jejich opakovatelnost a návaznost na určitá tradiční pravidla či vzorce chování. V práci předkládáme některé z možných klasifikací pojmu rituál. Kromě oblasti náboženské podrobněji diskutujeme rituály v řadě vybraných oblastí, jako např. ve sportu, v politice, ve vědě, v umění, v partnerských vztazích a lásce, v soudnictví, atp. Podrobněji se věnujeme také rituálům v kontextu vývojové psychologie. Jako zdroj psychické podporu slouží rituály zejména tehdy, když jednotlivec či společenství, které je uskutečňuje, důvěřuje v jejich působení a ztotožňuje se s nimi.

The bachelor?s diploma work presented is devoted to some problems of rituals, and namely in connection with one of their important functions, when they serve as a source of psychological support for the individuals or some social groups. It shows that the concept of rituals is very general and extends significantly beyond its common and older understanding, which follows from their role in religious domain. The rituals are characteristic by their repeatability and their link to some traditional rules or behavioral patterns. We present some possible conceptual classifications of the rituals. Together with the domain of religion we particularly discuss the rituals appearing in some other selected domains, e.g., in sports, in politics, in science, in art, in partnerships and love, in jurisdiction, etc. The rituals can serve as some source of psychological support especially when the subject or social group involved trust in their action and identify with them.
