Tato práce se zabývá médii a jejich působení na mládež. Je zde popsán vznik a počátky médií, od jejich úlohy v historii až do současnosti. Práce se věnuje působení médií včetně vývoje představ o vlivu médií na člověka. Zdůrazněna je úloha pedagogiky a plnění její preventivní funkce. Pozornost je věnována působení televize, reklamy a také trávení volného času na internetu.

This work deals with media and their impact on youth. The inception and the beginning of media, from their role in history to the present times. This work is about media and their influence including the evolution of conceptons of how media affect human beings. A role of pedagogy is emphasized and fulfilment of its preventive function. Attention is paid to effects of television, advertisment and spending leisure time on the internet.
