Cílem práce je identifikovat a usnadnit porozumění některým specifikům života
a zejména vzdělávání romské minority. Práce pojednává o historii romské komunity,
o životě a bydlení romské rodiny, o některých jiných antropologických a kulturních odlišnostech a hlavních problémech života Romů dnes v České republice. Zvláštní důraz je kladen na integrační snahy a téma vzdělávání. Součástí práce jsou výsledky kvalitativního výzkumu, který byl zaměřen na poznání specifik vzdělávání Romů, dětí
i dospělých, z pohledu vybraných vzdělavatelů.

The aim of this thesis is identification and facilitation of understanding of some specifics of life and particularly of education of Gypsy minority. The thesis deals
with history of Gypsy community, life and living of Gypsy family and some other anthropological and cultural differences and the main problems of Gypsy life
in the Czech Republic nowadays. The particular emphasis lays on integration efforts and an education topic. One part of this thesis deals with results of a qualitative research which examined specifics of education of Gypsies, children and adults, from chosen educators? point of view.
