Předmětem bakalářské práce ?Stárneme v novém tisíciletí? je snaha upozornit na nesoulad mezi moţnostmi státního financování důchodových dávek a dramatického nárůstu počtu důchodců v několika dalších desetiletích. Na rozdíl od dřívějších generací důchodců, kteří zaţily světové války, přídělové systémy padesátých let a byli zvyklí na niţší ţivotní standart, tzv. generace ?Husákových dětí? jiţ vyrůstala a svůj produktivní věk proţila za technologického boomu. Nedá se tedy zcela vyloučit, ţe bude mít zřejmě váţné ekonomické problémy, pokud se na svůj zaslouţený odpočinek řádně nepřipraví.

Thesis of the bachelor studies work "Aging in a new millenia" is a need to show discrepancy between the possibilities of financing future Social security payments and dramatic growth of number of seniors in coming decades. In difference to past generations living throug the World wars, allocation system of fifties and who were used to košer standard of living, so called "Husak¨'s childern" generation grew up and spend its prodactive age in technological boom. We can not exclude the possibility that it will have serious economical problems if it does not plan and prepare for its gainfull retirement.
