Rodinné prostředí a jeho význam při rozvoji osobnosti dítěte se zaměřuje na vzájemné vztahy v rodině, a to jak na pozitivní, tak i negativní. Poukazuje na to, že rodinné zázemí je nutné nejen pro děti, ale i pro oba partnery, nejlépe ve fungujícím manželství. Dále pak zdůrazňuje význam spolupráce rodiny a školy. Zabývá se využíváním volného času dětí a rodičů, zájmovou činností, významem masmédií s jejich pozitivním i negativním dopadem. Zajímá se také o děti, které jsou vážně ohrožené nefunkčním rodinným prostředím, kterým byla soudně nařízena ústavní výchova. Obsahuje praktické zkušenosti z dětského domova.

The Meaning of Family Environment for Personality Development of Child, is focused on interrelationships in family both positive and negative. It points out that family backround is neccessary not only for children but also for both partners in functional marriage. It also emphasizes the meaning of cooperation of family and school. This thesis is concerned with the use of free time of children and parents, interests, the meaning of massmedia with its positive and negative impact. It deals with children who are endargered by dysfunctional family environment and to whom the institutional care and education was ordered by court. It contains practical experience from the children´s home.
