Diplomová práce na téma ?Prostituce jako sociální problém? se zabývá sociálně patologickým jevem prostituce. Problematiku jsem se snažil zpracovat jak z pohledu historického vývoje, tak i z pohledu jejího současného stavu. Samostatnou část této práce tvoří legislativní rámec jednání souvisejících s prostitucí. Neméně důležitou části této práce je prezentování aktivit vládních a nevládních subjektů, zaměřených zejména na problematiku prevence tohoto sociálně patologického jednání. Důležitou součástí práce je pak zpracování empirického výzkumu a jeho závěrečné vyhodnocení.
Význam této práce spatřuji v prezentaci aktuálních informací k problému prostituce z obecně sociálního, legislativního a sociálně pedagogického pohledu. Diplomová práce může posloužit jako materiál k získání základních informací o prostituci a problematice jejího řešení v podmínkách České republiky. Diplomová práce může být využita jako zdroj informací a ponaučení jak pro pracovníky pomáhajících profesí a studenty, tak i obecně pro osoby se zájmem o tento sociálně patologický jev.

The diploma thesis on the theme "Prostitution as a social problem" deals with a socially-pathological phenomenon of prostitution. I tried to compile this issue not only from historical development point of view, but also from its contemporary state. The legislative framework connected with prostitution creates the separated part of this work. The activity presentation of governmental and non-governmental subjects, particularly focused on prevention problems of this socially-pathological behaviour, is no less important part of this thesis. The significant part is an empirical research processing and its outcomes.
The significance of this work may be seen in the presentation of current information about prostitution from social, legislative and socially-pedagogical point of view. The diploma thesis may serve as an elementary informative material about prostitution and its solution in the conditions of the Czech Republic. The diploma thesis can be used as a source of information and advice either for helping professions and students or generally for individuals who are interested in this socially-pathological phenomenon.
