Práce se zabývá problematikou zvládání krizových a zátěžových situací u příslušníků speciálních jednotek Policie ČR. Po krátkém uvedení do problematiky a vysvětlení používaných pojmů se zaměřuje na popis speciálních policejních jednotek a jejich kritéria pro přijetí příslušníků, na faktory zvládání zátěžových situací a oblasti poskytování pomoci. Dále práce pojednává o prevenci a intervenci. Cílem práce bylo ověření dvou hypotéz: ?Délka praxe, pravidelný výcvik a využívání modelových situací mají vliv na zvládnutí krizových situací policistů? a ?Příslušníci elitních jednotek se obávají využívat odbornou psychologickou pomoc?. Průzkum byl proveden dotazníkovou metodou mezi příslušníky speciálních policejních jednotek.
Význam práce spočívá zejména v situační prevenci. Upozorňuje, jakými způsoby lze preventivně působit a minimalizovat tak rizika spojená s výkonem služby a extrémní zátěží. Policejní psychologové by měli věnovat více pozornosti preventivnímu působení, např. formou školení policistů. To by mělo zlepšit vzájemnou komunikaci a připravenost policistů na stresové situace. Také by to zvýšilo důvěru policistů.
Práce je určena policistům a psychologům speciálních jednotek PČR, případně členům postintervenčních týmů. V závěru autor doporučil, aby se na preventivním působení v této oblasti podílely také osoby se znalostí sociální pedagogiky.

The dissertation deals with the issue of how policemen from the Police of the Czech Republic special units cope with critical and stressful incidents. After a short introduction to the issue and explanation of the terms used, it is focused on the description of a particular special police units and their hiring criteria, coping factors and areas of providing help. Furthermore this work deals with prevention and intervention. The aim of this thesis was to verify two hypothesis: ?Longer experience and regular training of policemen influence their coping with? and ?Police officers from special units are afraid of turning for help to psychologists due to fear of loosing their jobs at such prestigious branches of the Czech police?. A questionnaire method was used to carry out the survey among special units´ police officers.
The main meaning about this work is mainly in the situation prevention. It stresses what preventive measures can be used to minimalise the risks connected with the police service and extreme stress. Besides crisis intervention police psychologists should regularly pay more attention to preventive work with police officers from special units. This should significantly improve the mutual communication and preparedness of policemen for predicaments.
This work is intended for policemen and psychologists special police units and to members post-intervention care.
