Práce se zabývá uplatněním sociálního pedagoga u seniorů. Cílem práce je přiblížit seniora jako plnohodnotného účastníka vzdělávacího procesu. Práci tvoří charakteristika stáří a přípravy na stárnutí, analýza možností současného vzdělávání v seniorském věku, popis vzdělávacích institucí včetně historických souvislostí, zásady tvorby a vedení aktivizačních programů pro seniory, průzkum zájmů obyvatel Domova seniorů a z podnětu tohoto šetření byl vytvořen zájmově vzdělávací kurz ''Internet a PC‘‘.

This work covers the engagement of social educator in pensioner care. The objective is to describe the pensioner as a valuable participant of education process. The thesis focuses on basic characteristics of aging and preparation for aging, analysis of currently available options for education in retirement age, description of educational institutions including historical relations, guidance on creation and management of activating programmes, survey of interests done in a group of a specific retirement home inhabitants. The work also contains information about a course ''Internet and PC‘‘ which took part based on the results of the above mentioned survey.
