Má práce se zabývá problematikou domácího násilí páchaného na ženách. Tento vážný specifický problém s sebou přináší mnoho negativních důsledků nejen
pro jednotlivce, ale i pro společnost. Domácí násilí není tedy pouze věcí soukromou, naopak je povinností státu vůči němu zasáhnout a pokusit se jej eliminovat všemi dostupnými prostředky. Svým obsahem se práce zaměřuje na popis tohoto fenoménu
a také na nové legislativní změny, uskutečněné v České republice prostřednictvím nového zákona na ochranu před domácím násilím, který vstoupil v platnost dne 1.1.2007.

My thesis deals with the problem of domestic violence committed on women. This serious specific problem brings many of adverse effects not just for individuals but also for the whole society. Domestic violence is not only a private affair but there is
a state duty to act against it and eliminate it throught all available means. The plot
of this thesis focuses on description of this phenomeon and also on new legislative changes, executed through the new act for the protection against domestic violence, which at January 1. 2007 came into force.
